2. Materials
Materials are always selected with closest attention to the requirements of each specific job with the aim to strike the ideal balance between function & aesthetics, with minimal waste. Our interest & knowledge in working with all kinds of new and different materials has made SWISS WOODWORKING a valuable resource to our customers.
We have, for example, discovered the beauty and benefits of engineered- and laminated veneers and have been implementing them successfully for many years now. Environmentally sound and ‘certified’ products have recently become better in quality, are more readily available and reasonably priced. We especially encourage the use of domestic hardwoods and veneers.
We are also accustomed to incorporate non-wood materials into our projects. Especially the manufacture of contemporary cabinetry and furniture requires particular skills and highest attention to detail in combining wood with metal, stainless steel, glass, stone and other components within their respective designs. Our company also facilitates upholstery with fabrics and leather.

3. Hardware
Selecting hardware can be confusing in today’s market, the days of ‘one size fits all’ are long gone. Our extensive practice in the application of cabinet, furniture and architectural hardware and accessories enables us to intelligently recommend and incorporate the best products available.

4. Fabrication
In accordance with traditional European woodworking methods and the special skills required to build top quality cabinetry and furniture, the fabrication process begins with the careful selection of all materials, continues with milling and machining, to final assembly, sanding and finishing of the completed pieces. The talent and versatility of our craftsmen gives SWISS WOODWORKING the capability to meet the highest expectations for all design styles.
Our company’s involvement in large residential and commercial projects in recent years confirmed our ability to provide complex architectural design elements, such as fully integrated wall & ceiling panel systems, interior door & sliding door applications and much more.

5. Finishes & Painting
We work with a select group of painting and finishing companies, each specialized in different processes. This allows us to offer our clients a wide variety of finishes, including hand applied oil-rubbed polishes, painted and transparent coatings, lacquers and glazes, distressed / antiqued surfaces, high gloss and mirror polished finishes, sand-blasting, powder coating metal coloring and more.

6. Installation & Project Management
The approach we take towards installations is to think in terms of the ‘whole picture’, with a clear understanding of the overall design & purpose, and giving respectful consideration to fellow tradesmen.
Careful and accurate installations are key to the finished SWISS WOODWORKING product. Throughout the duration of a project, our staff regularly consults with clients, designers, architects, and builders. Our commitment to adhere to construction schedules and budgetary guidelines is a core principle of the company.
